ECP didn't respond to my letter, mocked nation: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has on Tuesday said that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has made fun of the nation by not answering to his questions. He said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has already announced support for the demand of ECP officials’ resignations. He said that PTI will contact other political parties as well, reported Dunya News.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Imran Khan said that the ECP did not respond to PTI’s questions on judicial commission’s report. He said that ECP’s response has humiliated Justice (r) Nasirul Mulk. “Who are these gods in the ECP who think they are not answerable to anyone?” questioned Imran. He said that ECP should have seated a sane person among them and answered PTI’s questions.
“I don’t want to run a street movement for justice. Matters should be resolved legally. We shall use all legal routes including parliament for attaining justice”, he added. He said that the consultations about moving to Supreme Judicial Council regarding the ECP officials are underway.
Chairman PTI said that PPP has already announced support for the demand of ECP officials’ resignations and all the parties that had expressed discontent with the ECP will be contacted by Vice Chairman PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
